One of the activities of the community, especially Hindus, is to carry out religious ceremonies again. Dozens of lecturers and students from the Faculty of Languages ??and Arts (FBS) Undiksha were seen busy preparing the grand pujawali at Parahyangan Padmasana, in the FBS building area of ??Ganesha Education University (Undiksha), on Saturday (10/9/2022).
The spirit of cooperation was again visible because of the pujawali tradition. Dean of the Undiksha Faculty of Languages ??and Arts, I Made Sutama, said that the pujawali preparations had been prepared thoroughly. By forming a committee involving lecturers and students. Apart from that, this Pujawali celebration also involved FBS alumni.
Sutama said that the pujawali, which is held every 5 years on the third Full Moon, should have been held in 2020. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this pujawali was postponed and can only be carried out now.
“It should be 2020 because it was implemented in 2010. Because of the pandemic, now it can finally be realized. So it will be implemented tomorrow. “Friends had mepunia in 2020. Then the punia (donation) was saved, and now it’s just being used,” he said when met on Friday, September 9, 2022.
In Pujawali, apart from praying by all Hindu students and lecturers at FBS, PMM (Independent Student Exchange) students from all universities in Indonesia were also invited to carry out student exchanges at Undiksha. Not only Hindu students but also non-Hindu students also attended the pujawali at FBS. This adds a sense of solidarity, harmony, and togetherness in diversity. The Rejang Dewa Dance and Rejang Renteng Dance were also presented, where the dancers were FBS and Dharma Wanita Undiksha, students. Apart from that, the pujawali was also enlivened by the appearance of Rare Kual masks, which are alumni of FBS. (FBS)
