Singaraja- Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha(Undiksha) students have once again excelled at the national level. This time, it came from the Indonesian Education Boys and Girls Selection event held by the Indonesian Achievement Youth Association. This event, which took place in Bandung, West Java, was attended by Gilang Aditya Oka Pratama from the D4 English for Business and Professional Communication Study Program.

The stages of this event have been taking place since August 2022 and the grand final will be on September 10, 2022. Gilang, as he is familiarly known, has succeeded in winning 3 titles, including being the Second Runner Up for Men’s Indonesian Education 2022, Mister Education Indonesia 2022, and Indonesian Education Ambassador. This student from Singaraja successfully competed with 76 participants from 34 provinces in Indonesia.

His participation in this event was because it was focused on education. Through this, he hopes to be able to help underprivileged children achieve their dreams of continuing their education. “I am sure that by working together with all educational activists in Indonesia through the Putera Puteri Pendidikan event and under the Indonesian Achievement Youth Association, together we can contribute to improving the quality of education in Indonesia,” he said, Wednesday (14/5/2022).

Even though he encountered various obstacles before taking part in this event, which made him want to give up and resign, his desire to be able to take part in this event was so great that he was able to overcome the various obstacles that existed. Moreover, this event is considered one of the best events in Indonesia that can help the younger generation.

The achievements achieved are certainly the result of his hard work. He admitted that preparations had been made for 5 months after he took part in the Putra Pendidikan Bali event. This success is also inseparable from the support of the supervisor, Dr. Ni Kadek Wirahyuni, S.Pd., M.Pd., and Ni Wayan Dewi Tarini, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kes.

The feeling of joy and pride over the achievements achieved is certainly unstoppable for him. He still didn’t expect to be one of the winners in this event, especially when he was one of the youngest contestants. “I feel grateful to be one of the best,” he explained.

Deputy Chancellor for Student Affairs, Public Relations, and Alumni Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Suastra, M.Pd., welcomed this achievement with pride. “This is extraordinary for us at the helm. “Undiksha students’ achievements continue to grow,” he said. He invited other students to continue developing their potential and participate in competitions. “We support students to take part in competitions. “This is important for the students themselves and the university,” he concluded.
