Singaraja- Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha(Undiksha) student, Ni Kkomang Putri Ayuning Lestari, successfully passed the Indonesian International Vocational Student Mobility Awards (IISVOMA) program. This program was launched by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology through the Academic Directorate of Indonesian Vocational Higher Education to provide opportunities for all vocational students at institutions and universities in Indonesia to get exposure and experience studying abroad.

Students from the D4 English Study Program will study for one semester at the University of Portsmouth, England. Before leaving, he met with the Deputy Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Cooperation at Undiksha, Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.T.I, on Tuesday (6/9/2022).

This student from Badung Regency admitted that he was interested in taking part in this national flagship program for several reasons. First, wants to further introduce Undiksha to the international world. Second, want to gain experience and improve my competence, especially in mastering English. “This is also important to support future career paths,” he said.

Passing this selection is not an easy matter. He must undergo many selection and preparation stages, starting from the administrative stage, interviews, psychological tests, and English language proficiency tests. Not only that, he had to compete with 3 thousand students from various universities in Indonesia. “The quota for this program is only 400 people. “The competition is tight,” he explained.

Apart from university, his parents also strongly supported his desire to take this program. “I hope that in the future more Undiksha students will take part in programs like this,” he added. After this meeting, he immediately prepared to leave for England shortly.

Meanwhile, Rasben Dantes congratulated the student who is familiarly called Ayuning. “We appreciate his participation in this program. “Hopefully this will further introduce Undiksha abroad,” he hoped. On this occasion, he also advised Ayuning to continue to hone his competence and later become a motivator for other students. (FBS)
