Denpasar- Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha) carries the vision of becoming a superior university based on the Tri Hita Karana philosophy in Asia by 2045. Apart from that, this superior accredited university is also proclaimed the International Reputable University in Education and Leadership (IRUEL). These two big dreams are welcomed by the Faculty of Languages ??and Arts (FBS) so that they can be realized soon. The steps taken are not only to strengthen the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education but also to improve the performance of educational staff based on spiritual intelligence and emotional intelligence.

The improvement of these two intelligences was carried out through a workshop on 23 and 24 October 2021 in Denpasar. Dean of FBS, Prof. Dr. I Made Sutama, M.Pd., said that teaching staff have a very important role in providing services to the community, especially students. However, this service cannot be provided individually but must work in a team or in synergy. In this situation, a problem may arise that will trigger discussion or even debate. In this situation, it needs to be supported by emotional intelligence to anticipate ongoing problems. “If our emotional condition is not controlled, many bad things can happen. “Therefore, it is important for us to cultivate emotional intelligence,” he stressed.

Emotional intelligence, the connection is the ability to recognize and manage emotions or feelings, both oneself and others. This intelligence can be trained and developed continuously, the same as intellectual intelligence. Spiritual intelligence is also no less important for educational staff. People who have this intelligence can view every situation more broadly and wisely. Apart from that, he can think positively, simplify problems, and most importantly always present God in every activity. “If everything can be realized, then we will be able to contribute to the Chancellor’s idea of ??making Undiksha an IRUEL,” added the Dean from Ubud, Gianyar Regency.

In this workshop activity, there were three speakers presented. Namely, the Chancellor of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd., who presented material on Strategic Steps to Realize Undiksha as IRUEL, Deputy Chancellor for Planning, Administration, Finance and Human Resources, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Lasmawan, M.Pd who presented material on personnel performance, as well as Supreme Master Aiteria Narayana, Regent of Campuhan Windu Segara Temple who presented material on Strengthening Spiritual and Emotional Intelligence as the Implementation of Tri Hita Karana.
