Denpasar- Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha) has big aspirations that are embedded in the form of a vision, namely to become a superior university based on the Tri Hita Karana philosophy in Asia by 2045. Apart from that, every year, this university which has eight faculties has targets that must be achieved. successfully realized. As in 2021-2022, be determined to International Reputable University in Education and Leadership (IRUEL). To achieve this, a series of priority programs have been formulated, which are framed within the Tri Dharma of Higher Education.

Success in realizing these big dreams must be supported by quality employee performance and cannot be done alone. Deputy Chancellor for Planning, Administration, Finance and Human Resources Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Lasmawan, M.Pd., emphasized that there must be collaboration, namely being able to work with anyone in a certain context which is justified by the rules. “No matter how great you are, if you are alone, then you are not a great person. “If you become a great person, collaborate, make friends, synergize with anyone who has the same vision, especially by the vision of this institution,” he stressed when he was a resource person at a workshop on strengthening spiritual and emotional intelligence to support Undiksha as IRUEL held by the Faculty of Languages ??and Arts, Saturday (23/ 10/2021).

Apart from cooperation, there are still six things that according to him employees must pay attention to and that have a big influence on the development of the university. First, commitment to work. “Commitment to yourself is important. Whatever our work, without commitment it is not good. Moreover, working in an organization where we cannot choose our co-workers. So what has to change is not about workers. But how can we adapt to the environment, to the people we work with? “That’s called commitment to yourself,” he said.

Second, mastering technology. As an employee, you must be able to adapt to changing times. At Undiksha, technology-based services continue to be developed. One of them is for creating Android-based performance reports. “Like it or not, you have to learn, you have to master technology,” he said. Third, master international languages. For educational staff, perhaps this is not yet a major need. But if you look at the direction of Undiksha’s development which is desired to become a home of learning for the international community, mastery of international languages ??becomes very necessary. “If there is an opportunity to learn, do it. “In the future, with international classes, we will have international students, mastery of international languages ??is very necessary,” said Lasmawan.

Fourth, employees must be creative. This means that at work you don’t just have to wait for orders, but you can show independence and develop creativity related to tasks and functions. Fifth, is professional, namely how employees know and understand their duties and functions per the competencies desired by a position. “Don’t want to control all the work just for personal gain. If it’s equipment, for example, understand the equipment. “How can it be good, so that it will be orderly,” emphasized the Deputy Chancellor from Kintamani, Bangli Regency. Lastly, as an employee or worker, you must have skills in your field that are supported by improving your personal quality. “All of this is the key to how students can upgrade abilities and skills,” he added.

In short, Lasmawan said that the implementation of these seven things was the result of environmental work and self-awareness. This means that the environment provides experience for employees regarding what must be done to answer various existing challenges. Self-awareness means being aware of your duties and functions in the work context and being aware of your abilities.

Regarding staffing, Undiksha continues to improve to be better. It is hoped that in the future human resources can be realized that characterize the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0, namely creative, communicative, collaborative, and critical. To improve the quality of human resources, leaders encourage employees to study further by providing financial assistance. “This has been done,” he explained.

To make Undiksha an IRUEL, Lasmawan hopes that employees will always optimize their organizational abilities, namely building teamwork and being aware of technological advances. With this, it is believed that an employee will be able to make himself meaningful to his organization, namely Undiksha. “This is important, remembering that to make Undiksha an IRUEL, every subsystem in Undiksha must be able to play its role optimally. Therefore, whoever he is, as a member of the Undiksha community, he must be willing, able, and accustomed to, committed, competent, and aware of the dynamics of institutional service bills. “Because improving institutional services will guarantee that Undiksha can realize IRUEL as soon as possible,” concluded Lasmawan.
