March 6, 2024Singaraja, FBS – In the current global era, humans are required to be independent, innovative, creative, and able to compete in the national and global world of work. All forms of social interaction are increasingly limited and transferred to online systems, this also requires the entire academic community to be more innovative in designing student activities that are useful and productive. In response to this problem, the Bus Incubator Unit and Labor Exchange, Faculty of Languages ??and Arts, Ganesha Education University held an Entrepreneurship Webinar on the topic“Turn Your Passion into Business” on Saturday (5/11/2022) online.
The aim of holding this activity is to provide socialization, motivation, and share knowledge and experience from the speakers presented, related to developing entrepreneurial ideas into real and growing businesses so that they suit the needs of the participants, namely students with their creative ideas. This webinar involves students and the FBS Student Executive Board.
Nyoman Karina Wedhanti, S.Pd., M.Pd. The Chair of the Webinar Committee, who is also the Chair of the Undiksha FBS Inbis and Labor Exchange Unit, in his speech said that the FBS Inbis and Labor Exchange Unit is still relatively young because it has only been established for 2 years. This webinar activity is the first activity from the FBS business incubator unit. It is hoped that the existence of forums and activities like this can give birth to many young entrepreneurship students as well as open students’ minds and build a global perspective on the importance of entrepreneurship in this era. “FBS has extraordinary potential, especially talking about arts, culture, and language. Many things can be commercialized. “It is hoped that with this unit through webinars that will be held, FBS students will be more enthusiastic in increasing their enthusiasm and can learn to start a business, which will later become the precursor to gaining achievements and getting lots of entrepreneurship grants,” she concluded.
This event was officially opened by the FBS Dean who at that time was represented by the FBS Student Affairs Advisor, Gede Mahendrayana, S.Pd., M.Pd. revealed that many students want to start and there are also those who are already running their businesses even though they are still considered young entrepreneurs or novice businessmen. However, there is still a feeling of fear, finding obstacles or problems in starting or running the business being created. For this reason, through these platforms and activities, it is hoped that students or young entrepreneurs will be braver to develop ideas, be creative, and obtain important information related to running a business.
This webinar, which lasted approximately 4 (four) hours, invited a resource person from the Manager of the Business Incubator Unit at Udayana University, Dr. Anak Agung Sri Mahyuni, SE., M.Agb. It is hoped that Mrs. Agung’s presentation of material in this webinar can open students’ minds and build a global perspective on the importance of entrepreneurship in this era. Tips for preparing entrepreneurship grant proposals were also presented, and the material presented was related to tips and tricks for developing ideas into entrepreneurial ventures.
Participants were very enthusiastic in asking questions related to preparations for preparing proposals. All questions were answered well and motivated participants to develop this entrepreneurial idea. (fbs)
