To reflect on becoming a center of excellence for language, arts, and culture, FBS Undiksha held a performance evaluation FGD. The event was held at the Harris Hotel Kuta Badung, Bali on 17-18 November 2023. This 2-day activity was attended by the FBS leadership starting from the Dean, Deputy Dean, Head of Department, Coordinator of Study Programs, middle and young functional officials, as well as several committee members. which are involved.
The Dean of FBS, I Gede Nurjaya, in his direction emphasized the importance of self-evaluation to determine one’s position to determine the right development strategy. Evaluation is aimed at finding solutions to weaknesses by utilizing personal strengths and existing opportunities. The Dean also emphasized the importance of collaboration between components to mutually support each other toward FBS becoming a center of excellence for language, arts, and culture.
A warm discussion occurred when departments and study programs carried out achievement evaluations. Try to dig deeper into the obstacles faced to formulate strategies for future improvements, such as those related to learning and graduates, research and service of lecturers and their output, competency certification, student achievement, off-campus activities, the enthusiasm of prospective students, capacity, and various other programs.
This FGD also presented the Dean and Deputy Dean I of FBS Padang State University (UNP). From this source, FBS Undiksha wants to know about good practices for developing FBS UNP in accelerating the transformation into PTN-BH. In his presentation, the resource person
outlines the strategic steps that must be taken to develop the faculty into a center of excellence. One of the main highlights is the focus on improving the quality of education and maximizing assets to support the quality of learning and increase income generation.
After discussions with resource persons, internal discussions were held again to develop a development strategy for FBS Undisha. The Dean of FBS Undiksha emphasized the direction of FBS Undiksha’s development policy to improve quality and welcome the transformation agenda towards PTN-BH.
This FGD is a positive momentum for FBS Undiksha to look to the future with enthusiasm in developing programs and services and meeting the standards of becoming a PTN-BH.
