March 4, 2024With a youthful spirit full of ideas, a creator and also head of the Bali Province Regional Indonesian Broadcasting Commission, Agus Astapa, collaborated with FBS Undiksha to hold a Literacy Seminar entitled Literacy Movement for a Million TV and Radio Viewers amid the Digital Media Era, Friday, April 14, 2023. Located in the Niti Sastra Room, FBS Undiksha, Agus Astapa invited all students to always be a productive and creative young generation in utilizing information technology.
This activity was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Languages ??and Arts who was represented by the Deputy Dean for Student Affairs and FBS Alumni, Dr. Drs. I Nyoman Sila, M. Hum. In his speech, the Deputy Dean who was born in Blahbaduh, Gianyar said that in the current digital era, especially the younger generation must be smart in selecting and sorting educational information. Seeing the rapid pace of existing technology, there is a lot of information and it is very easy to get. “The importance of digital literacy enables students to be able to manage and use social media wisely,” continued Sila.
This activity also invited resource persons from Undiksha, namely Dr. I Wayan Artika. This man who is active in the Grassroots Literacy Movement conveyed the big topic of how Radio and Television are in the eyes of Millennials. Becoming a content creator doesn’t have to be via radio or television, in fact now a channel called YouTube has been developed, and many people who are ex-television people have switched and are successful on this channel, said Artika. It is hoped that activities like this will continue to be carried out so that they can form an intelligent and dignified society.
