Singaraja, 20 October 2023 – A festive atmosphere colored the Taruna Jaya Open Stage when the 2023 Student Creativity Event (AKM) held a charming dancing competition. This competition was attended by participants from schools, dance studios, and the general public, with ages ranging from 9 to 15 years.
The Taruna Jaya Open Stage was the center of attention this morning, where talented young dancers gathered to show off their skills in learning dance. A total of 72 participants, coming from various backgrounds, competed to win awards.
The leaning dance, as one of the traditional Balinese arts, combines sweet, loud movements and deep expression. This competition provides a valuable opportunity for Bali’s young generation to express their creativity in the art of dance and maintain and preserve the rich Balinese culture.
Participants who competed gave their best performance on stage. This learning dance competition is one of the competitions in the AKM 2023 series of events. This activity was entirely initiated by the BEM FBS Undiksha organization. Previously there were other competitions such as karaoke competitions, short story writing competitions, poster-making competitions, photography competitions, and debates on October 21 2023 there will be a Modern Dance competition which will be attended by participants from all regions of Bali province.
Apart from being a competition event, this event also functions as a means of fostering a love of Balinese art and culture among the younger generation.
The hope is that this competition activity will continue to be a source of inspiration and support for the creative talents of Bali’s young generation.
