March 5, 2024Ganesha University of Education carries the vision of becoming a superior university based on the Tri Hita Karana philosophy in Asia by 2045. This big dream is welcomed by the Faculty of Languages ??and Arts in achieving the vision so that it can be realized soon. The steps taken are not only the implementation of the Tri Dharma of higher education, but it is also necessary to strengthen the hard and soft skills of educational staff at the Faculty of Languages ??and Arts, Ganesha Education University. Strengthening hard and soft skills was carried out through a workshop on 12-13 August 2022 in Kuta, Badung.
Dean of FBS Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I. Made Sutama, M.Pd., in his speech said that all components must move in harmony, whatever their position, all have a very important role, as well as the educational staff who have a very important role in providing services to the community, especially to student. In building this harmony, the tri hita karana concept becomes a strong foundation for implementing the hard and soft skills of educational staff. where a good relationship with God, a good relationship with humans, and a good relationship with the environment. In his presentation, the Dean from Ubud said that the key to Soft Skills is from the mind and heart. With a clear mind and a calm mind, it will undoubtedly be easier to find a solution to solve a problem. Hard skills also need to be developed by increasing self-knowledge to support the achievement of the directions and targets set by the institution.
Also invited were the Deputy Chancellor of Undiksha for planning, administration, finance, and human resources, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Lasmawan, M.Pd., who is also a speaker at this workshop. He presented material about the challenges of higher education in the Revolution 4.0 era and the Society 5.0 era. In its delivery, the bill from future HR is required to have qualifications, agency, and collaboration. These three bills are a way to form competent and competitive human resources. Fulfilling these bills is certainly not easy, training and strengthening is needed, one of which is through this workshop activity. He also added that there are 10 basic characteristics that staff must have, Listening, Empathy, Healing, Awareness, Persuasion, Conceptualization, Foresight, Stewardship, Commitment to the growth of people, and Building community.
The Deputy Chancellor from Bangli wants to invite all educational staff to always improve themselves in increasing their competence so that they can contribute to making Undiksha even superior. This activity ended with a group photo and dinner. (hms)
