March 4, 2024ActivityInternational Guest Lecture: “Studying and Working in Australia” and “Cross-cultural Exchange and Communication” is an initiative that aims to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experience between professional experts from Australia and China to students at the Faculty of Languages ??and Arts (FBS) at Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha). The activity which took place in the Nitisastra Seminar Room, FBS, Undiksha was opened by the Dean, who was represented by the Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Ni Luh Putu Eka Sulistia Dewi, S.Pd., M.Pd., 20 February 2024. In her speech, she conveyed the importance of opening up an understanding of opportunities to become global citizens.
Two international speakers were invited, I Gede Marsaja, M.Ed., Ph.D., and Mr. Gou Haodong. In his presentation, participants gained a comprehensive understanding of the education system, the visa process, and the various opportunities available to study and work in Australia. This activity also equips participants with valuable insight into job market trends and helps create informed decisions regarding academic and professional activities in Australia. Apart from that, it was also explained that increasing cultural awareness fosters a more diverse understanding of the global world and the importance of cross-cultural competence. Participants from FBS, especially students, get a very useful opportunity to understand various international perspectives in achieving prosperity and comfort in working.
This activity is a form of collaboration and cooperation in terms of education which will have a big impact on the progress of FBS Undiksha. This will indirectly open up opportunities for graduates to improve their careers internationally. In line with this, this will also boost the faculty clustering ranking and support accreditation data for study programs and institutions. Establishing collaboration By building collaboration with parties in the Asia-Pacific, it is hoped that FBS Undiksha can propose ideas for more varied international activities through internships at potential institutions, both in Australia and China.
