Internationalization at home or what is called a study house for international students, is a program where the Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha) is an object/home for international students/lecturers to carry out learning and research processes/activities. To support this, concrete steps were taken by the Faculty of Languages ??and Arts (FBS) by conducting English language training for teaching staff and students in the Department of Indonesian and Regional Language Literature, Balinese Language Education Study Program, Singaraja, 19 February 2024.

The activity was opened by the Dean, represented by Deputy Dean I FBS Undiksha, Dr. Ni Luh Putu Eka Sulistya Dewi, S.Pd., M.Pd., who in her speech conveyed the important role of foreign languages, especially English, in the international world. “English is a bridge to introduce Balinese culture and language at an intentional level,” he stressed. The importance of this activity should continue to be carried out periodically and carried out more widely in other study programs within FBS Undiksha.

The activities that took place in the Nitisastra room were very interactive. Invited as an instructor, Ida Ayu Made Istri Utami, S.Pd., M.Pd., who is also the head of the Undiksha Language Services Unit, succeeded in creating a dynamic and multicultural environment. This training is designed with practical and theoretical elements to meet the specific needs of lecturers and students involved in the training.

The enthusiasm of the participants was reflected in their active participation in the question and answer session and discussion, this proves their strong desire to respond to global challenges through mastery of the English language. With this training, the internationalization at-home program can run optimally, and achieve the vision of FBS as a center for Studies, Language, Arts, and Culture. Apart from this, as an educational institution, FBS is ready to produce a generation of academics who not only excel at the local level but are also able to compete globally in the context of education and research.
