March 6, 2024Improving Academic Quality – Department of Javanese Language Education UNS Jajagi FBS Undiksha
March 6, 2024A strategic plan is a text or document that is used as a basic work reference for an institution. Likewise with FBS Undiksha, the existence of the Strategic Plan is used as a reference in determining the direction and actions that will be taken in the future. Not infrequently, the Strategic Plan is used as a reference or benchmark for the success of programs that have been implemented. In line with current developments and needs, it is necessary to update and perfect the Strategic Plan. Located at Harris Hotel Kuta Galleria, Monday (19/12/2022). FBS Undiksha, through the Language and Arts Faculty Senate, carried out a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) to improve the Faculty Strategic Plan.
Dr. I Wayan Artika, S.Pd., M.Hum. as chairman of the committee for this activity expressed his gratitude and pride to all parties who had supported this activity, so that the activity ran smoothly. Artika continued, that activities like this are very useful because they can find out the progress targeted by FBS Undiksha which always gets reviewed based on current developments. Also invited by Prof. Dr. Sarwiji Suwandi, M.Pd. as a resource person in this FGD. In his presentation, the lecturer from Sebelas Maret University said that the strategic plan should be made quantitatively so that it can be a clear measuring tool regarding the targets to be achieved. He also said that the basis of the strategic plan must touch on the Main Work Indicators (KI) themselves and the performance contract between the Chancellor and the Minister.
Chairman of the Undiksha FBS Senate, Prof. Dr. Putu Kertinitiasih, M.A. said that FBS is unique and has special features, where the senate is usually tasked with approving proposals given by the Faculty, but currently, the senate is entrusted by the Faculty leadership to participate in perfecting or designing strategic plans that will be used by the Faculty of Languages ??and Arts. “The strategic plan designed is performance-oriented and must be measurable,” emphasized the woman who is often called Mrs. Titik. This Strategic Plan can be used as an accountability report from the Dean to the Chancellor, regarding how far the performance has been implemented. This measurable strategic plan can also be used as an instrument or basis for accreditation, emphasized Titik.
This activity was attended by all members of the FBS Senate, who were assisted by middle and young functional staff as well as FBS Undiksha staff. This activity, which lasted for 3 days, ended with group prayers at the Candi Narmada Denpasar Temple which also served as an implementation of Tri Hita Karana which is Undiksha’s Vision. (fbs)
