Singaraja- Character education is one of the things that the Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) is campaigning for. This was welcomed by the Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Languages ??and Arts (BEM-FBS) through holding a webinar on 11 and 12 September 2021.

The event raised four topics, namely the state defense movement with resource persons Commander Secata Rindam IX/Udayana, Lieutenant Colonel Inf. Toni Sri Hartanto, anti-corruption topic with resource person, Head of KPPN Singaraja, Jordan, Anti-Drug topic with resource person Duta Genre 2021 Kadek Jayanta, and anti-bullying topic with resource person, Bali Regional Children’s Forum Facilitator, Gusti Ngurah Arya Bayu Permadi. “This activity invites FBS students as participants,” said the Head of BEM FBS, Putu Ega Yudia Mastika.

It was explained that this activity was an educational space for students to become a quality generation, a generation with character, and a good image in society. “We hope that the participants will not only listen to the material but will also be able to implement it in their daily lives so that all of us as the young generation do not fall into negative things,” he said, adding that it is hoped that the material can also be disseminated to the community.

Dean of FBS Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Made Sutama, M.Pd., expressed his appreciation for the implementation of this activity. According to him, character education, especially regarding the material topics raised, is very important for students who will become the nation’s next generation. It was emphasized that a generation with character would be able to increase competitiveness, both in the world of work and in society. “This character is one aspect that is of concern when entering the world of work or in society. Therefore, it must be a concern for students. “We invite FBS students to become a quality generation,” he concluded.(hms)
