March 4, 2024Singaraja, FBS – Collaboration between the Japanese Language Education Study Program at Ganesha Education University (Undiksha) and Ohkagakuen University has been established since 2017. So far the collaboration programs that have been running are exchange programs, online teaching programs, and cross-cultural collaboration (cross-cultural collaboration). The two universities agreed to strengthen relations in 2024 by expanding cooperation programs.
Strengthening this collaboration was explored directly by the deputy chairman of the Overseas Studies Committee, Ohkagakuen University, Professor Donovan Clarke, on 13 February 2024 in the Gayotra Room FBS Undiksha. Professor Donovan’s arrival was warmly welcomed by the Deputy Dean I of FBS Undiksha, Dr. Ni Luh Putu Eka Sulistia Dewi, S.Pd., M.Pd., Head of the Foreign Language Department, Dr. Ni Putu Era Marsakawati, S.Pd., M.Pd., Japanese Language Education Study Program Coordinator, Dr. Kadek Eva Krishna Adnyani, S.S., M.Si., FBS Collaboration Unit team and lecturer at Undiksha Japanese Language Education Study Program.
In his presentation, Donovan introduced the Global Studies Department owned by Ohkagakuen University, the introduction of the double degree program, the introduction of the Japanese practice teaching program, the increase and improvement of the exchange program, and the increase in online teaching program (online teaching program).
Donovan emphasized that the double degree program will facilitate students to obtain two degrees at once, by studying for two years at Ohkagakuen University and two years at Undiksha or vice versa. While studying at Ohkagakuen University, students will get housing facilities and the opportunity to work part-time at Ohkagakuen University’s language learning center. Unlike previously which only accepted female students, Ohkagakuen University will also allow male students to participate.
Through this collaboration program, it is hoped that involvement between study programs at FBS Undiksha can be expanded to see the extraordinary benefits for students and lecturers. Apart from being an added value in introducing FBS Undiksha at the international level, this program can also directly strengthen the vision of FBS Undiksha as a center for language, arts, and culture studies.(with_fbs)
