Singaraja- The Faculty of Languages ??and Arts, Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (FBS- Undiksha) prepared an activity plan and budget for 2022, Friday (5/2/2021). The event which took place in the FBS Nitisastra Room was attended by the Head of the Department and the Study Program Coordinator.

Dean of FBS, Prof. Dr. I Made Sutama, M.Pd., in his speech said that in the Development and Program Coordination Meeting (Rakorbang), in 2022, Undiksha was declared an International Reputable University in Education and Leadership (IRUEL), as part of efforts to accelerate realizing Undiksha’s vision of becoming superior university based on the Tri Hita Karana philosophy in Asia in 2045. It was emphasized that FBS, as one of the faculties that has been established for a long time, is committed to supporting this, by preparing relevant programs. “That (IRUEL program, ed) is our main reference,” he said. Other programs that are an integral part of realizing Undiksha as IRUEL, such as clustering, are also included as attention. Likewise, other programs related to Higher Education Key Performance Indicators (IKU).

Undiksha Deputy Chancellor for Planning, Administration, Finance, and Human Resources (PAK-SDM), Prof. Dr. I Wayan Lasmawan, M.Pd., was one of the speakers at this event. On that occasion, he explained that to realize Undiksha as IRUEL, there are at least six aspects that need to be strengthened, namely acceleration towards the Quacquarelli Symonds World University Rankings (QS-WUR) ranking, collaborative research and publications, strengthening core education and leadership, number of lecturers and students foreigners, absorption of graduates and student entrepreneurship as well as accelerated achievement of performance contracts and Legal Entity State Universities (PTN-BH). “Faculties must pay attention to these programs when designing programs related to IRUEL,” he stressed.

Still related to IRUEL, FBS is also encouraged to create international standard study programs and maximize the management of potential study programs for accepting foreign students, such as the Indonesian Language Education Study Program and the Balinese Language Education Study Program. Apart from that, there is also a need to develop study program collaboration with world-class partners, involve practitioners on campus, and boost the work of lecturers, one of which is through research so that it can be utilized by society and industry. A number of these things are included as the basis for the transformation of higher education. “These things support the development of faculties and universities,” he said.

On this occasion, this academic from Bonyoh Village, Kintamani District, Bangli Regency specifically conveyed the budget allocation for program implementation, both in the academic field, planning field, and student affairs field. This is requested to be proportional. “Budget allocations must be designed well so that they truly support program implementation,” he concluded. (hms)
