Singaraja- The preparation of the 2022 activity plan and budget carried out by the Faculty of Languages ??and Arts, Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (FBS-Undiksha), Friday (5/2/2021) was not only filled with material presentations about the direction and policies of the university. There was also a presentation of material from a practitioner from the Business and Industrial World (DUDI), Ida Bagus Arya Lawa Manuaba, with the theme “Optimizing Independent Campuses to Prepare Superior Human Resources to Face Digital Challenges”.

This Undiksha alumnus considers the independent campus policy to be an effort to provide wider opportunities for universities to develop their potential. This policy also has a positive impact on students who are an important part of the university. “The independent campus policy means that a person or student can study something they like outside of college. In the world of work, we can’t learn just one thing. “We will integrate the knowledge we have with other fields,” he said.

He also agreed that the national policy was a strategy to create superior human resources (HR). In its implementation, it is necessary to balance the mastery of platform-based technology in the digital era. According to him, this needs to continue to be raised, so that campus residents are better prepared to face competition. “Of course, in this digital era, we are required to learn something anywhere, and at any time,” he said.

This man who is also a lecturer further stated that the implementation of the independent campus policy needs to be supported by collaboration between universities and stakeholders, one of which is the business world and the industrial world. In his presentation, he provided publishing material. This business world requires collaboration with various fields of expertise. Here universities can play a role together with their academic community. “Here, independent campuses can be applied,” he said.

He added that other things that support the world of publishing in the digital era in line with an independent campus are the ability to express ideas in writing, the ability to assess oneself, the ability to entrepreneur, and the ability to sell. “This skill is what publishers need today,” he concluded.
