INVITATION OF THE DIRECTOR OF SANKA HERITAGE ART YOGYAKARTA, FBS GROUP TO LEARN HINDU SITES THROUGH PRAMBANAN

Prambanan is one of the temple tourist destinations (TWC) declared by the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia. The second largest temple after Borobudur has an attraction for historians or tourists who want to visit there. Besides its unique location, this temple is located on the borderline between Central Java and Prov. Yogyakarta. This temple also has a lot of stories that perhaps not everyone knows. For this reason, FBS Undiksha, during its visit, invited the Director of Sanka Heritage Art Yogyakarta to dig up information about the history of Prambanan.

Located at the TWC Prambanan office on Monday, March 27, 2023, Nur Kotimah, M.A. as a resource person invited by FBS Undiksha, explained in detail the role of Prambanan temple in the past, present, and future. Here the group seemed to be transported to the time when the temple was built. Where in the story the temple was built just one night by Jin, it turns out it was just an invention. Many lessons can be learned from this meeting. One of them is how harmony has emerged a long time ago. Borobudur which symbolizes a Buddhist temple, where not far from this place where a temple was built which symbolizes Hinduism.

After the dharmawacana event, the activity continued with joint prayers at the Prambanan temple with the local mangku. Through this activity, it is hoped that harmony between religious communities will continue to run harmoniously as framed in Pancasila.
