Holds General Election – Two Candidates for Chair and Deputy Chair of BEM FBS Conduct Oral Campaign and Debate

Singaraja, FBS – Pemira or General Election for the Student Executive Board (BEM) of the Faculty of Languages ??and Arts (FBS) at Ganesha Education University is a form of democracy at the Undiksha student level which is held every year. This time, the opening activities were filled with verbal campaign events and debates for candidates for Chair and Deputy Chair of BEM for the 2024/2025 period. A series of Pemira was held at the Undiksha Auditorium Building on Thursday, February 15 2024.

The event was officially opened by the Dean of FBS Undiksha, Drs. I Gede Nurjaya, M.Pd. “As is known, Pemira at the student level is not a place to fight, but a place to learn to be a leader,” stressed Nurjaya. He also said that a leader is a person who is able to lead himself and others. In his speech, he also emphasized the five requirements to become a leader in the Harvard method, namely SPIRE (Spiritual, Physical, Intellectual, Relationship, Emotional). It is hoped that whoever the Chairman and Deputy Chairman of BEM is elected will be able to carry out the vision and mission conveyed and be able to display the excellence or uniqueness of BEM FBS itself, namely in the fields of language, arts, and culture. Apart from that, it does not compete with other faculties but is able to collaborate and establish broad relationships.

This Pemira was also attended by all FBS Deputy Deans, FBS Personnel Analysts, FBS Student Affairs Advisors, Heads of Departments within FBS, Coordinators of Study Programs within FBS, University Level Student Administrators, Chair of the FBS KIM Working Group (Student Scientific Work Working Group), Chair of the Student Association Majors (HMJ) in the FBS environment, FBS Boys and Girls, as well as FBS Demissioners class of 2022/2023.

There are two candidate pairs campaigning in Pemira this year, namely Candidate Pair 1 (one): Made Abhimanyu Gopal Dasa from the Japanese Language Education Study Program as a Candidate for Chair of the BEM and Putu Ryan Hardy Kurniawan from the English Language Education Study Program as a Candidate as Deputy Chair of the BEM and for Candidate Candidates 2 (two): Ni Ketut Santi Sucita Dewi from the Indonesian Literature Language Education Study Program as a candidate for Chair of BEM and Luh Devi Wiraputri from the English Language Education Study Program as a candidate for deputy chair of BEM FBS.

We hope that whoever is selected as a BEM candidate will be able to become a leader who will unite and be able to carry out the vision and mission well to create an FBS that is superior in the fields of language, arts, and culture. (with_fbs)
