Singaraja, FBS – Once again, the Faculty of Languages ??and Arts, Undiksha received a visit from a Japanese organization called Lpk Hishou Universal Style, on Monday (13/06/2022). LPK Hishou Universal Style is the LPK that sends the most interns to Japan. This visit took place in the FBS Gayotra room, which was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Languages ??and Arts, the Head of the FBS Collaboration Unit, the Japanese Language Education Study Program Coordinator, as well as 4 (four) guests from Lpk Hishou Universal Style, namely Tsurumaru Satoru Ao (head of TnT Jigyou Kyoudou Kumiai, Japan), I Nyoman Wijana (Founder of Lpk Hishou Universal Style), I Made Rudiasa (Leader of Lpk Hishou Universal Style), and 1 staff member I Nyoman Sajurisman.

This visit was the first visit from Lpk Hishou. I Made Sutama, Dean of the Undiksha Faculty of Languages ??and Arts welcomed the arrival of the LPK which is located in Bangli Regency. In I Made Sutama’s introduction to LPK Hishou, he introduced the 3 (three) departments and 7 (seven) study programs at FBS. Made Sutama also emphasized that with the current government policy regarding Independent Campuses and Independent Learning, it is hoped that this student internship collaboration with LPK Hishou can improve students’ skills in their fields of study, especially in Japanese language and culture, as well as increasing students’ learning experiences outside the campus. I Nyoman Wijana, who is the founder of Lpk Hishou Universal Style, am interested in collaborating with FBS, because graduates of the Japanese Language Education Study Program at FBS Undiksha, who previously had internships at Lpk Hishou, are seen as capable in the field of work given during the internship. Tsurumaru Satoru Ao, leader of TnT Jigyou Kyoudou Kumiai, Japan also said the same thing.

In this discussion which lasted approximately two hours, the Head of the FBS Collaboration Unit, Ni Nengah Suartini, S.S., M.A., Ph.D. and Japanese Language Education Study Program Coordinator, I Wayan Sadyana, S.S., M.Sc. also explains what things can be compensated for establishing cooperation with LPK Hishou. The matters discussed range from courses that can later be compensated for credits on campus, how alumni can get the opportunity to become translators who can bridge Indonesian and Japanese culture, to how students or alumni can later be accepted for internships and work in Japan.

We hope that collaboration and internship programs like this can help institutions become better in the future. (FBS)
