The Bali Jani Arts Festival (FSBJ) III, which has been running for 14 days from 23 October to 6 November 2021, has run smoothly during the Covid-19 pandemic. This festival is held online and offline with the main venues at the Ksirarnawa Building, Taman Budaya and the Natya Mandala ISI Building, Denpasar.
FSBJ is a manifestation of the partiality of the Governor of Bali, Wayan Koster to artists. “In any condition, keep giving space to artists to work. Especially during the pandemic, the artist’s activities have stagnate, the government is here to save the creative arts that these artists have from stopping,” he said.
In FSBJ III, the Provincial Government of Bali gave the Bali Jani Nugraha award to those who excel and make extraordinary contributions in accordance with their achievements and contributions in the Advancement of Culture. The award in the form of a Charter and Money worth Rp 50 million was given to: 1). I Dewa Nyoman Raka Kusuma (Literature); 2). Drs. I Made Taro (Folk Story Telling Artist); 3). I Gusti Ngurah Parsua (Literature); 4). Putu Fajar Arcana (Literature); 5). I Gusti Made Sukawidana, SS., M. Hum (Poet); 6). Made Gede Perama Artha (Cartoon); 7). late. Syahruwardi Abbas (Poet); 8). dr. Dewa Putu Sahadewa, SpOG (K) (Poet); 9). Dr. Gde Artawan, M.Pd (Literature); and 10). Dr. Drs. Hardiman, M.Si (Art Critic).
The Island of the Gods writer who is also a Lecturer in the Department of Indonesian and Regional Literature, FBS Undiksha, Dr. Gde Artawan, M.Pd conveyed that the Bali Jani Nugraha award is a very extraordinary gift, and a tribute to modern art writers in the era of the leadership of the Governor of Bali, Wayan Koster.
“Personally, I thank you very much, because the Governor of Bali has initiated an honorable space for modern art activists through the III Bali Jani Art Festival. Moreover, FSBJ, which was initiated by the wife of the Governor of Bali, Wayan Koster (Mrs. Putri Suastini Koster, ed), has given awards to modern artists, and most importantly has been able to pay attention to, raise modern artists who usually make art in quiet spaces, in corners. -corner to dark, now raised to the honorable stage FSBJ whose spirit and vibration are extraordinary,” he said.
For him, the award given by the Governor of Bali, Wayan Koster gave a message for all of us (modern artists, ed) to work further, to encourage ourselves to be more creative, innovative and make a real contribution to Bali which is in line with the vision of Nangun Sat Kerthi Loka Bali. through the Planned Universe Pattern towards a New Era of Bali.
