Optimizing Digital Learning, FBS Undiksha Holds E-Learning NG Training
March 11, 2025Singaraja, February 22, 2025 – The Faculty of Languages and Arts (FBS) Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha), in collaboration with the People’s Consultative Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia (MPR RI), held a socialization event on the Four Pillars of Nationalism. The event, titled “ the Four Pillars of Nationalism in the Context of Language, Arts, and Local Traditions: Exploring the Role and Relevance of Bali’s Young Generation,” took place at Nitisastra Seminar Room FBS Undiksha, and was attended by 150 students from the Department of Foreign Languages, Department of Indonesian and Regional Language and Literature, and the Department of Arts and Design.
The event was officially opened by Dr. I Putus Mas Dewantara, S.Pd., M.Pd., Vice Dean II of FBS Undiksha, who delivered remarks on behalf of the Dean. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of national awareness among students. “To navigate the social dynamics of globalization, students must sharpen their intellect while maintaining moral character that reflects the values of our nation,” he stated.
The socialization event featured two key speakers: Ni Luh Putu Ary Pertami Djelantik, Member of MPR RI and Dr. Made Sugi Hartono, S.H., M.H., Lecturer at Faculty of Law and Social Sciences, Undiksha. In her presentation, Ni Luh Putu Ary Pertami Djelantik discussed the #kaburajadulu trend, which has recently gained traction on social media. She emphasized that today’s youth face immense challenges, making it crucial to have a strong mental foundation. She also highlighted the role of universities as “schools of life”, where students not only learn about the Constitution and Pancasila but also develop an understanding of local culture amid globalization and digitalization.
Meanwhile, Dr. Made Sugi Hartono, S.H. M.H., underscored the importance of cultural filtration in the midst of mass tourism in Bali. He stressed that in order to preserve cultural identity, young people must engage in self-defense mechanisms and introspection. Self-defense mechanisms help prevent cultural erosion. Introspection prevents societal division due to foreign influences, as seen in historical events.
Through this socialization event, students were encouraged to deepen their understanding of nationalism and apply these values in their daily lives. This initiative aligns with FBS Undiksha;s mission to provide dignified education and teaching, producing competitive, collaborative and character-driven human resources.
