National Level Championship, UKM Shorinji Kempo Undiksha Wins Bronze Medal

Singaraja, FBS – One of the students from the Faculty of Languages ??and Arts, Ganesha Education University (Undiksha) was again recorded as the winner in the competition. This time it was from the Shorinji Kempo national level sports event which took place from 1 to 2 October 2022. This achievement was presented by the Shorinji Kempo Student Activity Unit (UKM) which succeeded in winning 3rd place in the Women’s Randori in the 65 kg class. The athlete who succeeded in presenting the championship came from a 7th-semester student of the English Language Education Study Program, I Dewa Ayu Dwi Partyastini.

I Dewa Ayu Dwi Partyastini admitted that she was proud because she was able to win a bronze medal in this national-level championship. Dewa Ayu successfully passed the preliminary round 1, and preliminary round 2 against UIN Saizu Purwokerto, and entered the semi-finals against Syiah Kuala University. The reason is that thanks to maximum preparation and struggle for two months, under the guidance of East Java Soenandar, we were finally able to achieve better results, namely being able to compete with 170 participants from 25 universities throughout Indonesia.

Dewa Ayu further stated that he had never participated in a similar event, and admitted that there were no significant obstacles while preparing for the competition. This achievement is also used as motivation to take part in other events and as a benchmark of ability. Hopefully, FBS and Undiksha will be even more brilliant with other achievements.(FBS)
