FBS Undiksha Welcomes the Arrival of 8 Students Taking Part in the Internship Program in Okinawa, Japan.

March 4, 2024Singaraja, FBS – The English Language Education Study Program and D4 English for Business and Professional Communication (BIKSPRO) held a Seminar related to Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) on Wednesday (08/03/2023). This activity, which was carried out online, was attended by lecturers and D4 BIKSPRO students.
Also present were the BIKSPRO D4 Study Program Coordinator, Made Aryawan Adijaya, S.Pd., M.Pd., Visual Communication Design (DKV) D3 Study Program Coordinator, Ni Nyoman Sri Witari, S.Sn., M.Ds. and Head of the Foreign Language Department, Dr. Ni Luh Putu Eka Sulistia Dewi, S.Pd., M.Pd. Made Aryawan explained that this activity was held to provide insight to BIKSPRO students as a consequence of the migration of the D3 Study Program to D4, whereby holding this activity students are expected to get an idea of ??what can be distributed to achieve an increase in Key Performance Indicators (IKU) in Faculties and Universities.
The activity was officially opened by Deputy Dean I of the Undiksha Faculty of Languages ??and Arts, Dr. Dewa Putu Ramendra, S.Pd., M.Pd. In his speech, he emphasized that the topic of this seminar was very in line with the MBKM curriculum where IPR is the right to obtain protection for one’s intellectual property rights for one’s work or creativity. Ramendra further revealed that IPR is an interesting and motivating part of the final project, where with IPR you can obtain legal protection and gain financial benefits. “Students don’t need to be afraid to innovate to develop their creativity,” he concluded.
Dr. Luh Indrayani, S.Pd., M.Pd. who is the Chair of the LPPM Undiksha IPR Service Center, is a resource person at the seminar activities carried out by the BIKSPRO D4 Study Program. He explained the meaning of IPR, product examples, and what elements must be included in an IPR application. After the presentation, the event continued with a discussion and question and answer session by resource persons and participants. Hopefully, this useful activity can motivate students to always innovate to produce their best work. (FBS)
