“Batik Smart Book” Brings FBS Undiksha Foreign Language Department Students to Achieve International Achievements in the 2024 Global Youth Invention and Innovation Fair (GYIIF)

In the 2024 Global Youth Invention and Innovation Fair (GYIIF) which was held at the Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB) on 11-15 January 2024, five students from the Foreign Language Department, Ganesha Education University (Undiksha) managed to win silver medals at the international level. The five students include Putu Kevin Aditya, Komang Dede Arianata, Komang Gede Samudra Artajaya, Ni Komang Diah Noviyanti, and Ni Putu Prami Pradnyani who are students of the Foreign Language Department of the English Language Education Study Program (PBI) at Ganesha Education University (Undiksha).

This extraordinary achievement was achieved through their innovation entitled “Batik Smart Book.” This innovation is the guidance of a lecturer from the Department of Foreign Languages, Gede Mahendrayana, S.Pd., M.Pd., who aims to increase public awareness of batik, including education, how to use batik, and places to buy batik as support for Indonesian Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

“Batik Smart Book” is not only a technological innovation but also a creative and informative educational tool. This achievement makes a positive contribution to FBS Undiksha through increased SIMKATMAWA achievements. With the “Batik Smart Book,” they have made a real contribution to preserving culture and supporting the vision of FBS Undiksha as a center for Language, Arts, and Culture studies.
