Singaraja, August 13, 2024 – The Faculty of Language and Arts (FBS) at Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) hosted an International Guest Lecture themed “Chinese Arts.” Held in the Layonsari Room, the event welcomed two famous speakers from China: Chai Yusui, Professor at the Beijing Fine Art Academy and Vice Director of the National China Art Committee, and Gou Haodong, former Consulate General of the People’s Republic of Tiongkok in Denpasar.

The event was opened by Vice Dean III of FBS Undiksha, I Nyoman Sila, who delivered a speech about the Art Education Study Program at FBS, including the Tri Dharma University activities, the number of the students, courses, and various art activities conducted on campus.

During the Guest Lecture, both speakers presented material on Chinese arts, supported by amazing visual images that held the participants’ attention. Additionally, the speakers included comparisons between Chinese and Indonesian arts and culture, especially Balinese. With moderator I Wayan Sudiartha, the event successfully provided new insights, inspiration, and fresh perspectives to the participants while also fostering broader international networks and connections.
