March 7, 2024Singaraja- Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha) students have once again made achievements at the national event. The student is Ni Putu Ayu Pirdayanti. She managed to win trophies from three different events. This achievement was conveyed to the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, Alumni and Public Relations Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Suastra, M.Pd., Wednesday (19/5/2021).
Confirmed after the meeting, this English Language Education Study Program student explained that he took part in the National Story Telling Competition held by Kejar Dream Palembang in March 2021. In this event, which was attended by dozens of participants, she succeeded in winning third place. “This competition focuses on the theme of folklore from each region. “I’m presenting the tokoarang story,” she said.
The next competition was also the National Story Telling Competition in the English Fair event organized by the English Student Association STKIP PGRI Trenggalek in April 2021. She succeeded in winning third place in the competition with dozens of participants in the student category. “For these two competitions, participants submit work, then they are given an assessment and an announcement continues,” said the student who has been fond of storytelling since junior high school. The third achievement was achieved in the National Hindu Religion Dharma Discourse competition, a series of joint study activities with families of Hindu Dharma students at the Bogor Agricultural Institute in May 2021. She succeeded in winning third place.
To achieve this achievement, she must prepare thoroughly, especially in mastering the material. “Preparation took more than a week,” he explained. This eighth-semester student’s participation in the competition was not without reason. He wants to gain experience, as a medium to hone his skills and evaluate his competence. “From this competition, I can gain experience, I can learn from other people,” she added.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Suastra expressed appreciation for this achievement. “This is an honor, because, in the Covid-19 pandemic, Undiksha students are still enthusiastic about achieving,” he said. It was further stated that this achievement is not only important for increasing the competitiveness of students, but also for universities, both at national and international levels. “Higher education clustering cannot be separated from student achievement. “Of course, we appreciate this achievement,” he said.
Undiksha is very focused on improving student achievement. Participation in the competition is strictly selected. It is hoped that this will always be supported by the entire academic community. “Coaching and mentoring continue to be maximized. “That is Undiksha’s effort to continue to improve achievements,” he stressed.
