Let Her Go

Let Her Go

Kadek Sonia Piscayanti

The fragrance of incense stick blows the mind of prayers

The gayatri mantram spells

Om Bhur Bhuvah Svah

Tat savitur varenyam

Bhargo devasya dimahi dhiyo yo nah pracodayat

That woman, drowned in silence for hours.

Tears flow.

How could she go.

Where should she go.

She is young, she is such a beauty, she is a flower to grow

But a man, just a man, end her to zero

What is it to stand up for.

To zero, to another go, and another zero.

God knows, but let her go.

People surround her with no single vow.

She must go, now.

Time has come to say so.

The temple does not belong to her somehow.

She was once married, she could not be here with just a bow.

She should go, as the wind blows.

And she goes.

And people saw.

Her back turn slow.

Her head bow.

They let her go.

The gayatri mantram spells

Om Bhur Bhuvah Svah

Tat savitur varenyam

Bhargo devasya dimahi dhiyo yo nah pracodayat

Her past her future her present let her go.
